Doyard

Doyard is a family-owned Champagne house located in the heart of the Côte des Blancs region in Champagne, France. The house was founded in 1927 by Maurice Doyard, and today, it is run by his grandchildren, brothers Yannick and Benoit Doyard.

The Champagne region is known for its unique terroir, which is characterized by its cool climate, chalky soils, and rolling hills. This terroir is perfectly suited for the production of high-quality Chardonnay, which is the main grape variety used in Doyard's Champagnes.

The Doyard family has a long history of winemaking, and their expertise is reflected in the exceptional quality of their Champagnes. They are committed to producing wines that are a true expression of their terroir, and they practice sustainable viticulture to ensure the long-term health of their vineyards.

Doyard owns 10 hectares of vineyards, located in some of the most prestigious villages in the Côte des Blancs, including Vertus, Avize, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. These vineyards are all classified as Premier Cru or Grand Cru, which is a testament to the quality of the grapes used in Doyard's Champagnes.

One of the most unique aspects of Doyard's winemaking process is their use of oak barrels for fermentation and aging. This is a traditional method that is rarely used in Champagne, but it adds complexity and depth to the wines. The barrels are carefully selected and used to produce single-vineyard Champagnes, which are highly sought after by wine connoisseurs.

Doyard produces a range of Champagnes, including a non-vintage Brut, a vintage Blanc de Blancs, and several single-vineyard cuvées. Their Champagnes are known for their elegance, finesse, and purity, with a perfect balance of
