Domaine du Colombier

Domaine du Colombier is a revered wine producer located in the heart of the southern Rhône Valley in France. This family-owned estate has been producing exceptional wines for over 130 years and is known for its dedication to quality and tradition.

The estate is situated in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, which is renowned for its rich and complex red wines. The terroir of this region is characterized by its rocky soil, warm Mediterranean climate, and the famous "galets" or large round stones that absorb heat during the day and release it at night, creating a unique microclimate for the vines.

The Domaine du Colombier covers a total of 40 hectares, with 35 hectares dedicated to the production of red wine and 5 hectares for white wine. The grape varieties grown on the estate are traditional to the appellation and include Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault for red wines, and Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Clairette for white wines.

The winemaking process at Domaine du Colombier is a combination of modern techniques and traditional methods. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The red wines are then aged in oak barrels for 18 months, adding complexity and depth to the final product.

The result of this meticulous winemaking process is a range of exceptional wines that perfectly reflect the terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The flagship wine of the estate is the Domaine du Colombier Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Tradition", a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre that is aged for 18 months in oak barrels. This wine is a perfect balance of power and elegance, with notes of dark fruits, spices, and a hint of earthiness.

In addition to their Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, Domain
