Antica Terra

Antica Terra is a small, boutique winery located in the Willamette Valley region of Oregon, known for producing some of the most distinctive and sought after wines in the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 2005 by Maggie Harrison, a former assistant winemaker at the renowned Sine Qua Non winery in California, Antica Terra has quickly gained a reputation for producing exceptional wines with a distinct sense of place.

The winery's name, which translates to “ancient earth”, is a nod to the unique terroir of the region, which is characterized by ancient marine sedimentary soils and a cool, maritime climate. These factors, along with meticulous farming practices and minimal intervention in the winemaking process, result in wines that are truly reflective of their origin.

The Willamette Valley is best known for its production of Pinot Noir, and Antica Terra is no exception. The winery's flagship wine, the Antica Terra Pinot Noir, is a blend of several different vineyard sites and showcases the complexity and depth that can be achieved in Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.

In addition to their flagship Pinot Noir, Antica Terra produces several single vineyard wines, each with its own distinct personality and story to tell. These wines, named after the individual vineyards they come from, are a testament to the winery's commitment to showcasing the diversity of the Willamette Valley terroir.

Aside from their exceptional wines, Antica Terra is also known for their stunning winery and tasting room, which is built into the side of a hill and features sweeping views of the surrounding vineyards. This unique space allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the winery's philosophy and experience the wines in a truly special setting.

In the world of wine, Antica Terra stands out as a producer that is un
