Onshore Cellars is proud to introduce our customers to one of the finest wine producers in the world – the iconic Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Located in Burgundy, France, this revered winery is known for producing some of the most sought-after and prestigious wines in the world.

The Domaine de la Romanée-Conti has a long and storied history dating back to the 13th century. It was in 1232 that the monks of the Abbaye de Saint-Vivant de Vergy first started cultivating the land in the area, planting vines that would eventually become part of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. In the 18th century, the estate came under the ownership of the Prince de Conti, who gave the estate its name. However, it wasn't until the 19th century that the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti truly rose to prominence.

Today, the estate is owned by the Leroy and de Villaine families, who are descendants of the original owners. The vineyards are managed with the utmost care and attention to detail, with a focus on sustainable and biodynamic practices. This dedication to quality and tradition is reflected in the exceptional wines that are produced.

The Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is known for its small production of high-quality wines, with an average of 5,000 cases produced each year. The estate's flagship wine is the Romanée-Conti, a Grand Cru from the tiny 4.5-acre vineyard of the same name. This wine is considered by many to be the pinnacle of Burgundy wines, with its intense aromas, silky texture, and complex flavors of red fruits, spices, and earth.

In addition to the Romanée-Conti, the estate also produces several other highly acclaimed wines, including La Tâche, Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, and Echezeaux. Each of
