The winery is situated in the charming village of Fraïssé-des-Corbières, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Corbières Mountains.

Founded in 2004 by Jon and Elizabeth Bowen, Domaine Sainte Croix is a true labor of love. The couple have a passion for winemaking and their dedication to producing high-quality wines is evident in every bottle. They are committed to sustainable and organic practices, using minimal intervention in the vineyards and winemaking process.

The winery’s location in the Corbières appellation is an ideal terroir for producing rich, complex wines. The region is known for its diverse soils, ranging from limestone and schist to clay and gravel, which contribute to the unique flavors and aromas of the wines. The warm, sunny climate and cooling sea breezes also play a crucial role in the development of the grapes, resulting in wines with great depth and balance.

Domaine Sainte Croix produces a variety of wines, including red, white, and rosé, each one showcasing the distinct character of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Their flagship wine, the “La Bergerie,” is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, aged in oak barrels for 12-18 months. It is a full-bodied, rich wine with notes of blackberry, black cherry, and spice, and a long, elegant finish.
