Château Larcis Ducasse

Château Larcis Ducasse is a wine estate located on the Saint-Emilion plateau in Bordeaux, France. The property sits on the eastern edge of Saint-Emilion, bordering Pomerol, on a slope of clay and limestone soils that descend from the town toward the Dordogne valley. It holds Saint-Emilion Grand Cru status and has historically been regarded as one of the right bank's more serious terroir-driven estates.

Saint-Emilion is one of Bordeaux's largest and most varied appellations, built primarily on Merlot, with Cabernet Franc playing a significant supporting role. The combination of clay-limestone soils and a relatively continental microclimate on the plateau and côtes produces wines that tend toward structure and aromatic complexity, with Merlot providing flesh and Cabernet Franc contributing lift and herbal definition.
