The history of this family-owned estate dates back to the 19th century when the Abbess of the nearby Abbey of Saint Hilaire granted the land to the family as a reward for their loyalty during the French Revolution. It was in the 1970s when the current generation of the family took over the management of the estate and began focusing on producing high-quality wines.

The vineyards of Domaine Roc de l'Abbaye cover an area of 60 hectares, with vines ranging in age from 10 to 60 years old. The estate follows sustainable farming practices, using organic fertilizers and minimal pesticides to ensure the health of their vines and the environment. The combination of the unique microclimate, the diverse soil types, and the old vines results in grapes with exceptional quality and complexity.
