Les Maîtres Vignerons de la Presqu'île de Saint-Tropez

Les Maîtres Vignerons de la Presqu'île de Saint-Tropez is a cooperative winery based on the Saint-Tropez peninsula in the Var department of Provence, southern France. The cooperative brings together growers from this coastal stretch of the Côtes de Provence appellation, an area where viticulture has been shaped by the Mediterranean climate, with hot summers, low rainfall, and strong winds such as the mistral.

Côtes de Provence is France's largest rosé-producing appellation, and the pale, dry style it has pioneered over recent decades has become a benchmark for Provençal rosé internationally. The region's proximity to the sea moderates temperatures and contributes to the freshness that characterises its wines. Typical varieties grown here include Grenache and Cinsault, both of which lend themselves well to rosé production — Grenache providing body and red fruit character, Cinsault contributing floral notes and a lighter texture.

The cooperative produces rosé from Grenache and Cinsault under the Côtes de Provence appellation, reflecting the classic varietal approach of the peninsula. The Saint-Tropez microclimate, with its granite and schist soils and coastal influence, gives wines from this part of the appellation a particular mineral quality alongside the fruit-forward character typical of Provençal rosé.
