Maison Chape

Maison Chape is a French wine producer based in the Picpoul de Pinet appellation, located within the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. The appellation sits on the western shore of the Étang de Thau, a coastal lagoon near the town of Pézenas, and is one of the few appellations in the Languedoc dedicated entirely to a single white grape variety.

Picpoul de Pinet produces dry white wines exclusively from the Picpoul Blanc grape. The variety's name — often translated as "lip-stinger" — references its naturally high acidity, which is a defining characteristic of wines made from it. The proximity to the Mediterranean and the influence of the lagoon create a maritime microclimate that reinforces this freshness, making Picpoul de Pinet a style particularly well-suited to seafood, including the oysters and mussels cultivated in the Étang de Thau itself.

Maison Chape's current range includes the Acord Parfait, a 2024 Picpoul de Pinet that reflects the appellation's characteristic approach: a single-varietal white wine built around the grape's signature citrus-driven profile and bright acidity.
