Pimm's

Pimm's is a British drinks brand based in England, best known for producing Pimm's No. 1 Cup, a gin-based fruit liqueur that has been a fixture of English drinking culture for well over a century. The drink was originally created by James Pimm, a London oyster bar owner, who developed it as a digestive aid in the early nineteenth century. It was later commercialised and eventually became one of the most recognisable liqueurs associated with British summertime.

Pimm's No. 1 Cup is made on a gin base infused with a proprietary blend of herbs, spices, and fruit extracts. The exact recipe remains undisclosed, but the resulting liqueur is characteristically amber in colour, with a bittersweet, lightly spiced flavour profile and a relatively modest alcohol content. It is most commonly served lengthened with lemonade or ginger ale, garnished with fresh fruit, cucumber, and mint — a preparation closely associated with outdoor events such as Wimbledon and Henley Royal Regatta.

Pimm's No. 1 is the flagship and most widely available expression in the range. While the brand historically produced numbered cups based on different base spirits, No. 1 on a gin base remains the variant in consistent commercial production today.
