Atacama

Atacama is a wine region located in northern Chile, positioned between the Coquimbo and Antofagasta regions. It represents one of Chile's emerging wine territories, characterized by its remote location in one of the world's driest landscapes. The region has gained attention in recent years as producers explore viticulture in this challenging environment, where altitude and extreme aridity shape production decisions and vineyard management.

The Atacama region experiences a hyper-arid climate with minimal rainfall and intense solar exposure.
