Onshore Cellars is proud to offer a selection of wines from the renowned producer, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Located in the Burgundy region of France, this estate is widely considered one of the most prestigious and influential wine producers in the world.

Founded in the late 18th century, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti has a long and storied history. The estate takes its name from the two most famous vineyards within its boundaries – Romanée and La Tâche – which were acquired by the de Villaine family in 1869. The de Villaine family has continued to manage the estate for five generations, with Aubert de Villaine currently at the helm.

The vineyards of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti are situated in the heart of the Côte d'Or, the most revered and sought-after wine-producing region in Burgundy. The terroir of this region is characterized by limestone-rich soils, which contribute to the unique and complex flavors of the wines produced here. The estate covers a total of just over 25 hectares, with a majority of the vineyards dedicated to Pinot Noir, the classic grape variety of Burgundy. The remaining vineyards are planted with Chardonnay, used to produce the estate's highly sought-after white wine, Montrachet.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti's commitment to quality and tradition is evident in every aspect of their winemaking process. The vineyards are meticulously cared for by hand, with strict attention paid to every detail. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted, ensuring that only the highest quality fruit is used in the production of their wines. The wines are then aged in French oak barrels, with a minimal use of new oak to allow the true expression of the terroir to shine through.
