Weinviertel

The Weinviertel region, located in the northeastern part of Austria, is known for producing some of the finest white wines in the country. This region is home to a wine producer that stands out from the rest - the Jahner Winery.

The Jahner Winery, founded in 1998 by the Jahner family, is a family-owned and operated winery that has been passed down through generations. This winery has a long history of winemaking, with the family's roots dating back to the 18th century. The current owner, Franz Jahner, is a fifth-generation winemaker who has a deep passion for his craft and a strong commitment to producing high-quality wines.

The winery is located in the small village of Poysdorf, which is situated in the heart of the Weinviertel region. The region's unique terroir, with its sandy loess soils, provides the perfect growing conditions for the production of crisp and aromatic white wines. The cool climate and long sunny days also contribute to the development of the grapes' intense flavors and aromas.

The Jahner Winery is best known for its production of Grüner Veltliner, the most widely planted grape in Austria and the signature varietal of the Weinviertel region. The winery has 15 hectares of vineyards, with 80% of the vineyards dedicated to Grüner Veltliner. The remaining 20% is planted with other grape varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.

The winery follows sustainable and organic farming practices in its vineyards, with a strong focus on preserving the natural environment. This commitment to sustainability and quality is also reflected in the winemaking process. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected, and only the best fruit is used for the production of their wines. The result is a range of elegant and well-balanced wines that truly reflect the unique character of
